THE SOCIETY:
Working together for birds and people
Ukrainian Society for the Protection of Birds is the BirdLife
International Partner in Ukraine. It is devoted to conservation of birds living
in and migrating through Ukraine. In addition to monitoring populations of threatened
and endangered bird species, USPB advocates habitat and environmental protection.
Currently, USPB has:
– 7 staff employees;
– 1,526 members;
– Over 20 thousand children who participate in activities annually.
The Society’s governing body is a Congress of members, which
adopts policy and strategy. An elected Board and the Executive Director provide
oversight of day-to-day activities.
